Could Patton MacGuyer have been saved?

OK, here's what we know about the porters: These guys pack up everything after you leave camp, then run past you on the trail while you suffer in the high altitude, set up camp for lunch, serve you lunch, then pack up everything again, sprint past you on the trail again, and set up camp for when you arrive. All while wearing thin sandals. Unreal.

Well, if these guys had been around when Patton MacGuyer was still operating, no way Jeffie Effie would have ever considered closing it down.

These guys will design the presses, stamp the metal, box it, ship it, get the scrap metal together and sell it for a profit, all before the first coffee truck arrives at 9.30 am.

Below, Ted and Pete marvel at the prowess and stamina of the porters.

Maybe Patton M should have moved operations to Peru, to high in the Andes, to take advantage of the Porters? Ted could have taken over South American operations - oh wait, if Ted was in charge of PM's operations all the benefit of the Porters would be wiped out by his management, leading to ruin for all!
