Inca Trail Day Three:Intipata and Winay Wayna Terraces

Just before the Winay Wayna campsite (with a bar-yeah!) sits in incredible set of terraces for large agriculture, that bow out in a giant curve along the mountain side and are visible from Phuyupatamarka and the third pass, Intapata. Spectacular views of Machu Pichu mountain and the surrounding high mountains. Just below it is a collection of houses, terraces and irrigation channels: Wiñay Wayna, 'forever young,' so named for the unusual orchid that grows here.
